When Science Becomes Something You Can Feel
Alignment 2026 gathers science, culture, food, movement and Entertainment Arts in Los Angeles for a day of curiosity, conversation and shared experience.
Some ideas ask to be understood. Others ask to be encountered.
A finding can live on a page, in a paper or inside a panel conversation. But when it enters a room with sound, food, movement, story and other people, it can take on another kind of meaning. It can become something you notice, discuss and carry into your own life.
That is the question behind Organic Life Labs, Alignment 2026: what if science could be felt?
On October 18, Organic Life Experience brings people together in Los Angeles for a day shaped by science, culture and Entertainment Arts. It is not a day built around perfect answers or prescribed outcomes. It is a chance to explore the ideas that shape how we live through the senses, the imagination and the conversations we share.
## More than information
Information matters. Context matters too.
A conversation about food changes when it happens around a table. A question about movement becomes more vivid when it is felt in the body. A scientific idea can open up when an artist, performer or storyteller offers another way into it.
Alignment 2026 makes room for those crossings. Instead of separating science from culture, the gathering lets them inform one another. Research, lived experience and creative expression each bring something different to the room.
The point is not to simplify complex questions. It is to make them more approachable, more memorable and more connected to the way people actually move through the world.
## Entertainment Arts as connective tissue
Entertainment Arts is not an add-on to the experience. It is one of the ways the experience holds together.
Through music, performance, storytelling, food and atmosphere, a gathering can invite attention without demanding that people arrive as experts. It can make room for curiosity. It can help a new perspective stay with someone long after a talk or workshop is over.
At Alignment 2026, that connective tissue runs through the day:
- Conversations that bring research and lived experience into the same frame
- Food and gathering moments that make space for exchange
- Movement, sound and performance that invite participation
- Stories that connect big questions to human-scale experience
- New encounters between people who may not otherwise share a room
Each moment is an invitation to look again, listen more closely and add your own perspective to the conversation.
## A room for participation
Participation does not have to mean having the loudest voice. It can mean asking a question, sharing a meal, trying a new way of moving, sitting with a story or meeting someone whose work changes your understanding of an issue.
That is why the gathering centers lived experience alongside expertise. Scientists, practitioners, artists, collaborators and curious participants all have a role in what the day becomes. The experience is designed to be social, sensory and open enough for meaningful exchange to happen.
No one leaves with a one-size-fits-all answer. The hope is more grounded than that: people leave with a richer set of questions, a few new connections and an idea they want to continue exploring.
## Come curious
Organic Life Labs, Alignment 2026 is an invitation to meet science where it touches culture and everyday life. Come for the conversation, the experiences and the people in the room. Stay for the possibility that an idea can feel different when it is shared.
